Victor Saiz

Victor Saiz is a Madrid-based composer and live electronic musician whose work explores sound as a perceptual space. Working with instrumental recordings, electroacoustic textures, and pre-recorded media, he cuts, layers, and reassembles fragments into collages that unfold as immersive environments. His music privileges texture, dramaturgy, and attentive listening, inviting audiences to navigate sonic architectures within their own mental models.

Over two decades, Saiz has performed at festivals like Sonar, FIB, Arsonica, and Territorio Electrico (LCE),
both solo and as part of Madrid Laptop Orchestra. He has released music on independent labels including Foehn Records,
Plataforma-LTW, Miga Label, and Rain Music. His international trajectory includes composing for dance in Sweden
(collaborating with Björn Säfsten), and working as researcher/technologist at IRCAM/Centre Pompidou in Paris
while composing for choreographers like La Veronal, Mar Aguilo, Sonja Stojanovic or Adi Schwarz. Now based in Madrid,
he continues advancing his personal sound research and performance practice in tandem with dance and visual collaborators.
